Paru Goreng & Jongkong Ijo

As you see the title (and the pictures) you kinda have the idea on what we had this time. Last Saturday, before going bowling, we decided to have Nasi Padang for lunch. Not the Malay version, but the real Padang food. So we headed to Kampung Glam area. Food was marvelous, especially I haven't had this kinda food for awhile.

The main menu: gule ayam, opor ayam, beef rendang, one big gule sotong, 3 pieces of perkedel, lodeh and casava leaves, and paru goreng. Man! The paru was great, crispy! And the sambal were hot spicy (there are 3 types of sambal). Erbe said that in weekdays they have $3.80 lunch menu plus dessert. Dang! Why my office isn't near by?

And for dessert we picked up lupis, tape singkong and jongkong. The last one triggered arguments. Panda said jongkong supposed to be black colored. While most of peeps were sure that it is green. Probably only jongkong in Salatiga has black color.

At the end we were full and satisfied. Start forgeting about bowling. And if there wasn't a big group of tourists start pouring into the restaurant, we probably will stay till dinner time.
