Cubadak
It was a small island near Padang, 65 km drive from Padang then 10 minutes by boat. The place was run by Italian couple (Nani & Fredrika).
It was marvelous! The water was clear and warm even in the morning. The place was remote, no other resort was located in this island. Food was great -a combination between Italian, Chinese and Indonesian, the dessert was breath taking, and the service was top class. A great place to relax, sneak out from busy city life.
There was 12 guests there: 3 Indonesians (including myself), 2 Ozzies, and the rest was Italians and only 2 of them can speak English... So you can imagine how was the situation during lunch/dinner time. Oh, since there was only 12 guests plus 1 owner (Fredrika) and 1 diving instructor (Marco), so we eat together, seating in a long table, like a familiy.
Wonderful place, having a great time there. But, alas, spending 2 nights was not enough, and time was not on our side. If I have time and money, I will go back there. Someday.
